Want a colorway that doesn’t exist yet?
Let’s make one.
This is your chance to co-create something completely custom with Wild Dyes Studio — bold, layered, and made just for you.
Send me:
-
2–5 color ideas (specific shades or general vibes)
-
An aesthetic (moody forest, neon chaos, romantic ruin, coastal static…)
-
An inspiration photo — I’ll pull tones and mood directly from it
-
A song, a feeling, a Pinterest spiral
-
Your preferred yarn base
If you send a photo, I’ll study the color balance, contrast, and undertones — then translate it into a dynamic, hand-dyed colorway with my signature movement, speckle, and depth.
You bring the spark.
I bring the dye pots.
✨ Expect bold choices.
✨ Expect layered color.
✨ Expect something no one else owns.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for dyeing before your order ships. Good color takes time — and I refuse to rush it.
Each batch is:
-
Hand dyed in small batches
-
Heat set and rinsed with care
-
Designed exclusively for you
No exact replicas. No mass production. Just color made wild.
Ready to make something unforgettable?
Once your order is placed, I will email you so we can begin the idea phase of your yarn! I am super excited to take this journey with you!
About the yarn itsself...
SPECIFICATIONS
- 80% Superwash Merino wool and 20% Nylon
- Approximately 1,900 yards
- Fingering Weight
This versatile 80/20 blend is the "gold standard" of fingering weight yarns, balancing the warmth and breathability of wool with the durability of nylon.
What can I make with this yarn?
- Durable Hand-Knit Socks: The 20% nylon content provides the necessary strength to prevent holes in the heels and toes, while the superwash wool ensures they stay soft and comfortable.
- Intricate Shawls & Wraps: With excellent stitch definition, this yarn is perfect for showing off complex lace patterns or delicate cables. It drapes beautifully after blocking.
- Lightweight Garments: Create breathable sweaters, cardigans, or camisoles that are perfect for layering. The fingering weight ensures your finished piece isn't too bulky.
- Baby & Children’s Wear: Because it is superwash (machine washable!), it is a practical choice for baby blankets, sweaters, and hats that need frequent cleaning.
- Accessories: This yarn is ideal for lightweight mittens, beanies, or elegant cowls that feel soft against the skin without being itchy.
Care Tip: While the superwash treatment allows for machine washing on a gentle cycle, we recommend laying your items flat to dry to preserve the vibrant color and shape for years to come.
